The infrastructure that makes a production possible.
Every great location has two sides: what the camera sees, and what makes it work. Ashridge has unusual depth on both. The visual character - mansion interiors, farmhouse, barns, grounds, river - is documented on the Film & Photography page.
This page covers the operational side: basecamp, parking, load-in, storage, kitchens, laundry, support rooms, power, and crew housing. The things that make a production logistically possible, not just visually interesting.
Kitchen use is by arrangement and prior written approval in all cases. Productions may arrange their own catering vendor; the estate can accommodate catering operations on-site.
The mansion's lower level includes ten rooms alongside the commercial kitchen, laundry, a staff kitchen, and multiple bathrooms. These may be suitable for production offices, wardrobe, hair/makeup, art department, crew holding, or related support operations.
Subject to final approvals and use case. These rooms are not represented as sleeping quarters. Their suitability for any particular purpose is confirmed individually with estate management.
For high-draw productions, electrical requirements should be discussed in advance.
Housing use is included in whole-estate bookings. For partial-estate bookings, discuss housing scope during the inquiry process. The farmhouse is also occasionally available for short term rental at Blue Violet Farm when not part of an estate booking.
