Open pasture, the estate's own cattle and chickens, and fields we can plant for your story.
Ashridge is a real working farm. Our own beef cattle graze the estate's pastures, so a herd in frame looks like it belongs — because it does. Chickens can join a farmyard scene. And with a season's lead time, we can plant a field specifically for your shot — sunflowers, grain, corn, a wildflower meadow. It's one of the rare things a location can actually grow for you, and we love doing it.

The cattle and chickens are wonderful for natural grazing, farmyard life, and background action. For scripted action or close work with cast, we'll bring in a coordinator and animals suited to the scene so it's safe and easy for everyone.
Tell us the look — the crop, the color, the height, the season — and if there's time before the shoot, we'll plant it. The earlier we talk, the more we can shape.
Our cattle and chickens are farm animals — we'll bring in a wrangler for scripted action, and custom plantings follow the season and the weather.
Tell us what you need — livestock, a farmyard scene, or a field grown for your shot.
